What is The Workshop?
A socioconstructivist and progressive school for children and young people from Kindergarten 3 to 12th grade, The Workshop completely transforms traditional education and breaks away from the outdated belief in rote memorization.
Founded in 1989 by Caty Franco in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, the school is based on the conviction that progressive and constructive education empowers students to achieve their goals both inside and outside the classroom in a globalized world.

Why?
- Because The Workshop® meets the expectations of families by fostering the development of social and cultural values.
- Because its methodology promotes innovative and high-quality learning that stimulates intelligence.
- Because its program is designed to promote high abilities and intellectual potential.
- Because it motivates its students to become positive individuals with a strong self-concept and self-esteem.
- Because it provides students, from Kindergarten to High School, with the necessary tools to become well-rounded, social, creative, critical, and engaged learners.
- Because it is a school for new generations and for parents who are truly invested in their children's development.
What for?
- Because it is a school for new generations and for parents who are truly invested in their children's development.
- To strengthen human values in the development process of children and young people.
- To belong to a study group that I identify with: respectful, ethical, creative, dynamic, critical, and capable.
- To be listened to with attention, without judgment, with constructive suggestions, respect, integrity, and care. To have my ideas guided toward learning and project creation.
- To achieve genuine learning: learning how to learn.
- To WORK COLLABORATIVELY, organize, structure, create, and build through sensitivity, tolerance, and conflict resolution.
- To recognize that each individual learns differently, according to their personal and cultural characteristics.
- To acquire skills that enable me to achieve my goals.
- To understand that each ability is nurtured by skills that must be developed, practiced, and internalized for as long as necessary without feeling boredom.
- To foster reading comprehension skills and, as a result, become a person eager to learn more.
- To become a better individual, student, and citizen.
